In 2005, on the campus of UNT there were several students who wished to dance but lacked experience, training and discipline. She began intense training and teaching the dancers the art form of hip-hop, ballet, and contemporary dance in a small dance room on campus. The students worked and danced so hard that they would be drenched in sweat, so we named the room the Sweat Box and the dancers were Sweat Dancers. It became a movement, so I named the company Sweat Dance Movement...Sweat is the product of hard work.

At the young age of 5, I became one of the junior twirlers for the F. D. Roosevelt
Majorettes. In 1999, as a freshman in high school, I was chosen to be the Captain of the F.D. Roosevelt Prancer Pyramids. As a sophomore, I was chosen as Prancer of the Week two different times. That same year, the sponsors and officers picked me as the First Line Leader. I was First Line Leader from 2000-2002. During my last year as a Roosevelt Prancer, I was voted Officer of the Year. In my senior year, I decided to try-out for the Townview Charmers twirlers. I was selected as Captain. I was only the second person named as captain of the Charmers.

In 2000, two of my friends and I started the Dallas Dazzlers, an All Star Dance team. Once I graduated from high school, my dance career did not end. I joined the all-black dance ensemble, Fade 2 Black. I was a member from 2003-2008 and vice-president from 2005-2008. We had an established purpose to uplift the African American community in and around Texas A&M University. In 2008, I was asked to become choreographer for the North Texas Seminoles dance team, the Lady Noles. We performed at all the home games and participated in community service and fundraisers with the football team. This will be my second year as a Twirl clinician for the Dallas Dazzler SummerCamp.
